Jason

The practice of yoga has guided me toward a life of balance, humility, compassion, right speech and action. Our modern fast-paced lifestyles pull us in many directions, often to the neglect of body, speech and mind. I believe yoga is an antidote to this hyper and often disconnected world we live in, serving as a guide to see us on the right path. For a practice that has given me so much it only seemed natural to share this wisdom with others.

Along with yoga I have become a student of Buddhism and meditation. I successfully completed the 200 hr. yoga teacher training program with Yoga Therapy College and am a licensed physical therapist assistant practicing here in Tucson.

Margot

Picture
Margot has practiced yoga since 1973 and became a certified teach in 2011. She practices and teaches gentle hatha and vinyasa flow with emphasis on breath, asana, and meditation. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace and modify poses as needed. She has taught at many yoga studios and currently teaches three classes a week for LA Fitness. Margot is a student at AZ Power Yoga in Marana and 3 Jewels where she teaches one Sunday morning class a month. Margot's Sunday morning class ends with a Yoga Nidra practice.

Robert

Picture
Robert learned yoga from Mira Shani and other teachers at Yoga Oasis in Tucson in the first decade of the 21st century. He’s studied in both the Gelugpa and Nyingma lineages of Tibetan Buddhism, and currently identifies with the Padmasambhava tradition as taught by B. Alan Wallace, Doug Veenhof, and Jarret Levine. He’s been teaching at Three Jewels since 2009, and with his wife Vicki Mills has been co-director of Three Jewels since 2012. He leads gentle yoga classes which feature music from the 1930s to the 1970s as the soundtrack to the poses.

Roxane

Roxane was first introduced to yoga in 1978 and has been a practitioner ever since. In 2005, she completed a 250-hour certification program and began teaching. Her classes focus on breath, movement and refinement of poses to aid in nourishing the body and stilling the mind. She considers yoga to be an ideal discipline for counteracting the stresses of modern life—turning attention inward, learning to observe the body, mind and breath, and then taking those lessons off the mat, out into our day-to-day lives. As much as possible in a group setting, Roxane strives to meet T.K.V. Desikachar’s precept that yoga should be appropriate to each student, addressing individual needs while offering a profound and comprehensive sense of well-being for everyone.

Sarah M.

Picture
Sarah completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2013. Since then she has been teaching primarily small groups using Hatha techniques and a trauma-informed approach. Her knowledge of working with specialized populations comes from her personal experiences, as well as her education and career as a Master of Social Work.  She has a special emphasis on providing services to help strengthen and support fellow members of her LGBTQ/SAGA community in Tucson. Currently she teaches studio classes, private yoga lessons, and host yoga events.
